Helping Founders Build Companies That Can Grow Beyond Them.

Most founders do not need more advice. They already know what needs to happen. What they need is someone who can turn clear thinking into consistent execution, create accountability that holds, and build the operating structure that growth requires. That is the work I do.

Background

Fifteen Years Inside Fortune 500 Organizations

I spent fifteen years inside Enterprise and Fortune 500 organizations including Discover Financial, Grainger, New York Life, Boyd Group, and Johnson & Johnson. I led transformation programs, built operating models, and worked in environments where execution mattered and the consequences of failure were real.

When I moved into founder-led companies, I saw a different version of the same challenge. Great companies, capable teams, and strong opportunity, but the business had outgrown its operating model. Growth required the founder to be more involved, not less. That observation became the work I do today.

The pattern was always the same. The organizations that performed at the highest level were not built around heroic individuals. They were built around systems, clear accountability, and leadership teams that execute without one person making every decision.

I am also a Member of Duke Business Consulting Group, a management consulting firm that places experienced operators in Fractional COO and Integrator roles with founder-led companies across the country.

What I believe

Most businesses do not have a strategy problem. They have an execution problem.

01

Founders should lead the business, not run it.

Your time belongs on vision and direction — not on being the answer to every question.

02

Accountability has to be real.

Leadership teams perform better when ownership is clear and the operating rhythm protects priorities instead of chasing noise.

03

Scale without a single point of dependency is achievable.

A company can grow without one person at the center of every decision. It just requires the right structure.

Beyond business

The Business Should Give You Your Life Back.

I am a husband and a father of five, based in Chicago, IL. I work with clients remotely and travel on-site as the engagement requires.

I have watched talented founders build impressive companies while quietly losing the things they started those companies to protect. The freedom they built the business for became something they no longer had access to. I do not believe that is the only way.

When the business stops depending on one person, the founder gets their life back.

Why founders work with me

Someone Who Stays Until the Work Actually Holds.

Founders hire me because they want more than a recommendation handed over in a deck. They want a real operating change that sticks, and someone who understands that the goal is a founder who finally has the freedom to lead.

01

The difficult questions. I ask what needs to be asked and say what needs to be said, even when it is uncomfortable.

02

Work that holds. I stay until the operating change is real and durable — not a document that gathers dust.

03

Freedom as the goal. A better business is the means. A founder free to lead it is the point.
